Code of Conduct
(Ratified by CCBC membership unanimously)
The Code of Conduct for the Clark County Black Caucus delineates expectations for professional communication, behavior and interactions of members. It must be remembered that the Caucus sets examples in the community that are professional and with ethical standards for those involved. To that end, the membership of the CCBC understand the importance of unity and respectful interactions, and voted to adhere to a standard that will lead our performance and interactions, including with each other, so that the organization is reflected in unity in purpose.
Representation
Members must fulfill their duties, within the organization, in a manner that is positively transferable to support our mission. This requires ethical behavior and respectful interactions during all activities. Protecting the integrity of our organization and the interest of the membership should be our top priority.
Integrity
We demonstrate honesty and integrity in our interactions with others at all times. We represent our Caucus with expression of sincerity and professionalism, which reflects upon the entire organization.
Communication and Interactions
Members are expected to communicate with each other with respect and professionalism. All communications should be factual and pertinent to the subject at hand. Interactions will be directed through the moderator following appropriate standards such as Roberts Rules of Order. All members agree to demonstrate respect for differences of opinions and preferences with professional attempts at conflict resolution.
Responsibility and Dependability
Members are expected to attend all meetings with timely arrival and dedication to our purpose. Reports and documents are to be prepared and presentable for the membership.
Leadership
Those elected to positions of leadership commit to serve with distinction and reflect a positive example for the membership.
