Learn More About ARPA
CCBC Membership
Please help our community weigh in our how the American Rescue Plan Act funds ($770 Million) should be spent in CCSD schools to help Black students achieve their education goals and achieve proficiency, prepared for college or a career path. Your input is IMPORTANT!

The USDOE advised that when making decisions about how to use ARPA funds including ESSR & GEER funds previously awarded, States and LEA's are encouraged to take into consideration how the funds can be used to address INEQUITIES, including FOCUSING supports and services on students from low-income families, students of color, students with disabilities, English learners, students experiencing homelessness, children and youth in foster care, migratory students, children who are incarcerated, and other UNDERSERVED students who have been DISPROPORTIONATELY impacted by the pandemic. Please see our link above to access additional information ARPA and allowable use of funds.

Therefore, our survey reflects questions and asks for reactions centered in equity, inclusion, and education justice with a focus on the needs of Black students, who have historically been underserved and racially isolated and/or biased in accessing the same opportunities as other students. The data consistently reflects an education experience, often as a result of a system where racial bias/discrimination at an early age disproportionately impacts student achievement. We hope this is an opportunity for CCSD to reimagine our schools and dismantle systems and processes that prevent an equitable and just education experience for ALL students. Thank you for taking time to complete this survey. Rest assured that you do so in confidentiality and you will not be identified personally in any way when we submit our report to CCSD for consideration in their decisions. You will remain anonymous.

Sincerely,
The CCBC Education Committee

Let's Begin the Survey:

American Recovery Plan Act Survey - CCBC

Based on years of advocacy and work, these qualifying statements adhere to ARPA mandates and was formulated by members of our Education Committee, some who are educators, education advocates, parents, and students. Please give us your opinion of the following statements. Do you agree, disagree, or not sure?
If you are an educator, please answer following 2 ?'s:
Thank you for participating. These funds also provide an opportunity to address the most urgent needs of students, teachers, and staff while making the kinds of investments that build state, district, and school capacity in ways that sustain meaningful and effective teaching and learning. If well-invested, funding through ARP can help address gaps in educational opportunity and outcomes long ignored - not just during the COVID-19 pandemic, but beyond. Let's reimagine, create, implement and soar together. Please consider joining the Clark County Black Caucus in advocating for the futures of our children. Be blessed & a blessing!
